In the name
of Allah,
The
Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
Who is Allah?
Dear brothers and sisters, peace be upon all those whom Allah, glory to
Him, guided to the right path and led from darkness to the light of
faith., Come with me let us gently indulge together in a ray of the
divine light of faith which Allah, blessed be He, refers to in the
Glorious Qur'an saying:
Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His
light is as (if there
were) a niche and
within it a lamp: the lamp is in a glass, as it were a brilliant star,
lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the east(i.e. neither it
gets sun-rays only in the morning)
nor of the west (i.e.
nor it gets sun-rays only in the afternoon, but it is exposed to the sun
all day long,) whose
oil would almost glow forth (of
itself), though no
fire touched it. Light upon Light! Upon Light! Allah guides to His Light
whom He wills. And Allah sets forth parables for mankind, and Allah is
All-Knower of everything. (
An-Nur -35).
Escort
me, brothers and sisters, to calmly set off to know Allah: this Ever-Great,
and Ever-Powerful Lord. In our humble attempt to get to know Allah,
whatever we say or describe can never be able to give Him His due. Allah,
to
